WANT TO LIVE LONGER? Consider being “slightly chubby.” “People who are a little overweight at age 40 live six to seven years longer than very thin people, whose average life expectancy was shorter by some five years than that of obese people, the study found.”
See, there’s something to “robust” after all!

Don’t kid yourself. This study isn’t about fat, it’s about muscle.
See, BMI is a _very_ useful tool– when it’s individualized. But a generic BMI score (go to this site and plug in your hight/ weight (http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/)) won’t account for the difference between fat and muscle. So if (say) you weigh 170 and you’re 5′10, you’re “normal”. If you then put on 10lbs of fat, you’re “overweight” (unhealthy). If you instead put on 10lbs of _muscle_, you’d have the same BMI as someone with 10lbs of fat, but be substantially more healthy.
Sorry, man. We still gotta hit the gym…
