Gravity works

You know how you have a lump in the rug, and you press it down, right?  And then the lump’s “gone”?

And then, guess what, exactly where the pressure from your foot ended, what do you see?  The lump!

The lump will just move all over the rug from that technique.  You can’t get rid of a lump from a bunched up carpet by just squeezing it away.  You have to pull up the carpet and put back down right.

Economics?  Same exact thing.

I’m beginning to think I should avoid the union label as a customer. It seems that unions are bad for customers. I’m trying to find the value add. I can see that trade unions as opposed to industrial unions provide value. The Electricians Union certifies electricians, for example.

What does the UAW provide for me, the car buyer? Supposedly they provide happy auto workers, which should mean better cars. However, it seems to be that they instead provide unhappy auto workers who hate their management as a way to convince the auto workers that they need the union.

I’d be very happy to see a good solid pro-union analysis that says otherwise as a way of checking my work.

Possibly, the carpet has lumps because it is cut too big for the room. In that case, one option is to expand the room.
