Last week, Obama, Emanuel and at least one other person met with Fitzgerald, and the MSM not only hasn't asked questions about these meetings, but has been pushing the Obama's internal investigation report (released yesterday) as though it is the final word. To the contrary I believe the vast majority of reports are very liberal and very ambitious and, far from conspiring, they will cut each other's throats in a second to break a story that brings down any politician. But during elections, by and large "the story" is the election -- and then they speak with one voice. It is not a coordinated voice, per se. It just comes out that way. People, even journalists, tend to learn from their mistakes, and a lot of the rumormongers who jumped on Monicagate are way more leery now. More importantly, there is a new aspiration in the media today, which goes hand in hand with the new sense of desperation everyone is experiencing (which the economic crisis is really a symptom of, rather than the cause for). The media is planning for the collapse of western civilization, even doing their best to surreptitiously bring it about, and the prize they seek is more than just book deals and a moment in the spotlight. The intellectual elite have decided they would rather rule over a dark age than be mere citizens in an golden age, and they are in the tank for Obama because he is their best hope of achieving that goal.
