The human of mouth

Dean Esmay:

[A]fter 8 years of watching every minor verbal stumble of George W. Bush be portrayed as proof of his being a drooling semi-sentient moron, I have very little sympathy for the people who are upset when people do the same thing to Obama. Welcome to the big leagues kids, where what you throw at others is likely to be thrown right back at you.

And Obama’s good — really good, unlike GWB, who’s really bad. But human, we are all, even the Chosen One.

Verbal stumbles are one thing; then there’s whatever it is that McCain commits when he refers to Sunni instead of Shia, when he refers (repeatedly) to the defunct country of “Czechoslovakia” and, most recently, when he draws attention to the world hotspot on the fictitious border between Iraq and Afghanistan.

Should we cut him some slack, too, because he’d be fun to have a beer with?

Haven’t we been down that road once already?

  2. Ara Rubyan Says:

OK, ok. McCain actually said “the border between Iraq and Pakistan,” not Afghanistan.

Equally as fictitious if you ask me.

I think Obama should confine his campaigning to the lower 58.

Along the border between Texas and Georgia.
