As I recall fear of the Negro was a big thing in Democrat politics for over a century. The KKK was the militant wing of the Democrat Party and drove republicans out of the South.

Wright is not a new phenomenon for the Democrat (except for the reversal of the races). He is just the same old Chickens coming home to roost.

I agree that Jews aren’t likely to be swing voters, but I don’t think the allegations about Obama’s alleged anti-semitism, religion, pastor and ties to Islam are meant to sway the Jewish vote. Jews make up less than 2% of America. We are not a significant voting block, even if you could get us all to vote one way or the other. On the other hand, I think there is a sizable chunk of white, evangelical Americans for whom Israel is an important issue, and who may harbor some negative feelings about Arabs and Muslims. Those people might think twice about voting for someone who has ties to a madrassa or a extremist pastor.
