Neither would Blake. But if God is everything, then God is the good and the bad, the creativity and the destruction, death and life, birth and killing, the art and the tsunamis, the criminals and the cops. That's just one thing that's always bugged me about monotheism - while everything good is credited to God, most that's bad is attributed to men (or, of course, women). That's one reason why it's never appealed to me. Other opinions will vary.. Cole would have nothing to paint; Blake nothing to say nor heart to say it.

True, Cole wouldn’t even exist. Neither would Blake.

But if God is everything, then God is the good and the bad, the creativity and the destruction, death and life, birth and killing, the art and the tsunamis, the criminals and the cops.

That’s just one thing that’s always bugged me about monotheism – while everything good is credited to God, most that’s bad is attributed to men (or, of course, women). That’s one reason why it’s never appealed to me. Other opinions will vary..
